Baku City Circuit is a street track, so most grandstands here look out on one or two corners rather than a sweeping view of the lap. That makes picking the right stand more important than at a permanent circuit. This page ranks all grandstands at Baku for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, flags the ones worth thinking twice about, and covers the two brand-new stands added for 2026. Which Baku Grandstand Should You Choose?

For the full Formula 1 experience – start, pit lane, podium, and the only roof at the circuit- Absheron, Section E is our top pick. It’s the most expensive seat at Baku, but it’s also the closest of the Absheron sections to Turn 1, which means you get the ceremony and the racing from the same seat.

If value matters more to you than the podium view, Khazar is the one to book. It’s one of the cheapest reserved stands at Baku, and it’s the only grandstand at the circuit that gives you two separate straights in view at once.

If you want to watch overtaking rather than pageantry, Azneft at the Turn 16 exit is a strong, more affordable alternative to Absheron E, and it’s the one seat locals and repeat visitors consistently point newcomers toward.

Two stands we’d think twice about: Filarmoniya and Bulvar. Both are priced to attract budget buyers, but at Baku’s street-circuit layout, a few metres of position makes a bigger difference than usual, and both have a cheaper-or-similar neighbour with a genuinely better view. More on that below.

Baku names its grandstands after nearby places and landmarks rather than corner numbers, so it helps to know what each name refers to before you choose a seat.

Baku Grandstands Ranked by Circuit Section

Main Straight Grandstands: Absheron

Absheron is the only covered grandstand at Baku and the most expensive seat at the circuit, split into five sections (A to E). Section C sits in the middle of the straight, with the best view of the start, finish and pit lane. We’d steer you toward Section E instead if overtaking matters more to you than the ceremony – it’s closest to the Turn 1 braking zone, one of the best passing spots at the circuit.

Turn 16 Grandstands: Azneft and Filarmoniya

Azneft sits on the outside of Turn 16’s exit, set back from the track but largely unobstructed from the second row up. It fronts the start of the Bulvar fan zone, which makes it convenient as well as a strong viewing spot. Filarmoniya sits inside the track before the same corner and is one of the cheapest stands at the circuit, but the views are weaker, and it tends to sell out quickly anyway. If your budget allows the extra cost, we’d recommend Azneft over Filarmoniya.

Old City Grandstand: Icheri Sheher

The only grandstand inside Baku’s historic Old City, Icheri Sheher looks out on Turn 12 and, depending on your seat, the exit of Turn 11 or the run toward Turn 13. It’s the most atmospheric setting at the circuit, but getting there can be trickier than the other stands because of road closures, and it sits a distance from the main fan zone on the Boulevard.

Mid-Circuit Grandstands: Mugham and Sahil

Both stands give you two viewing angles for one price. Sahil faces the fast finish straight and, on the opposite side, the slow Turns 5 and 6. Mugham faces the Turn 19 exit and, across the way, the braking zone into Turn 7. Both have their views partly obstructed by trees. Sahil is the slightly stronger pick of the two, but Mugham holds its own and has good access to the main fan zone behind it.

Value Grandstands: Khazar, Bulvar and Giz Galasi

Khazar is the standout here, a genuinely unusual dual view of Turn 20 (the final corner) plus, depending on where you sit, either the run toward Turn 19 or the parallel straight between Turns 6 and 7. Seats on the right-hand aisle also get a close view of Turns 5 and 6, which tends to draw a crowd during practice sessions. Bulvar and Giz Galasi sit at a similar price, but both have their views compromised by trees – we’d point you toward Khazar first if it’s available.

New for 2026: Marina, Zafar and City Grandstands

Marina is new for 2026, sitting opposite the Turn 17 kink with views of the Azneft-area exit and the start of the final sector. It’s priced similarly to Filarmoniya but rated ahead of it, partly because the fan zone sits directly behind the stand. Zafar, introduced in 2025, sits on the finish straight near the pit entry, good for the start and the pit-lane action, less so once the field is spread out. Grandstand City is brand new for 2026, positioned between Turns 6 and 7 in the middle of the lap. We haven’t been able to independently corroborate its views yet beyond the one source that’s covered it so far, so treat it as one to watch rather than a confirmed recommendation for now.

Best Baku Grandstand for Every Type of Fan

Best all-round seat: With Absheron, Section E, you get the start, pit lane, podium, and Turn 1 overtaking in one seat.

Best value: Khazar offers a genuinely unique dual view at one of the lowest prices at the circuit.

Best for overtaking: Absheron Section E or Azneft is the strongest option for passing views outside the podium stand.

Best for atmosphere: Icheri Sheher is where you catch Baku’s Old City setting, unlike anywhere else on the calendar.

Best if you’re on a tight budget: Khazar first, Marina second – both beat their similarly-priced neighbours on view quality.

Which Baku Grandstand Should You Avoid?

We wouldn’t tell you to skip any specific stand outright, but a few are worth a second thought before you book. Filarmoniya and Bulvar are priced to attract budget buyers, but both have weaker views than a similarly priced neighbour – Azneft over Filarmoniya, and Khazar over Bulvar. Giz Galasi shares the same tree-obstruction issue as Bulvar at a comparable price, with Khazar again the stronger alternative. None of these are bad seats in absolute terms – they’re simply outclassed by a nearby option at a similar cost.

Is General Admission Worth It at Baku?

General admission at Baku doesn’t include a reserved seat, and unlike some other street circuits, it offers little elevation; most of what you’ll see is through fencing. The strongest general admission spot is next to the Azneft grandstand, with a view of cars negotiating and exiting Turn 16. We recommend general admission mainly for single-day visits or a tight budget; if you’re attending the full weekend, a cheaper grandstand ticket like Khazar often costs about the same and gives you a guaranteed seat.
