How to read this calendar
- A “round” is one race weekend. Each runs Friday to Sunday (practice → qualifying → race), with a few exceptions noted below.
- Sprint weekends swap one practice session for a short Saturday race that also pays points. There are ten sprint rounds in 2027, which is anticipated to be busier, often pricier, and offer more on-track action for your ticket.
- Dates can shift. Calendars get adjusted year to year for logistics, holidays and world events. Always confirm before booking flights.
- “From” prices are indicative. They show how races compare in rough cost terms, not a live quote. Actual prices move with demand, grandstand, and how early you buy.
Sprint weekends in 2027
There will be ten sprint weekends in 2027, the highest ever in F1 history.
You can enjoy a sprint weekend at Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Canada, Monaco , Britain, Italy, Brazil, Qatar and Abu Dhabi in 2027.
On a sprint weekend, you get a short, points-paying race on Saturday on top of Sunday’s grand prix, more wheel-to-wheel action for the same ticket. The trade-off is one fewer practice session and, often, stronger demand. If you’re choosing between two similar races, a sprint weekend usually gives better value per pound of on-track time.
What changed for 2027
- 10 Sprints with 5 new sprint hosts: FIA has almost doubled the sprint weekends from 6 in 2026 to 10 in 2027, which is almost half the calendar! New sprint venue debuts such as Bahrain (Sakhir), Australia (Melbourne), Japan (Suzuka), Monaco (Monte Carlo), and Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina).
- Returning Tracks: Portugal and Turkey return to the 24-race calendar in 2027.
- Calendar dropouts: Zandvoort retires off th e schedule.
- Shorter race distances: Grand Prix circuit lengths are planned to drop from 305 km to 290 km (except for Monaco) to adjust for a higher fuel consumption rate under new power unit rules.
When should you buy tickets?
Short version: earlier is cheaper for popular rounds, but not always. Marquee races (Monaco, Britain, Las Vegas, Singapore) tend to rise as they sell through, so early buying pays off. Lower-demand rounds can soften closer to the date.
