The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez has an unusual rule. The circuit is split into colour zones, and the zones do not connect inside the venue. Your ticket opens one zone, so your seat decides which gate you use and which part of the track you see. The lap also runs straight through the Foro Sol baseball stadium. This page shows the track layout, the zones, the corners and the gates.

The lap runs clockwise. The pit straight and the opening chicane sit on the north and east side. The Foro Sol stadium section sits on the west side.

Mexico City Circuit Zones: What Each Colour Opens
Each colour zone has its own stands, gates, and view of the track. However, you cannot walk from one zone to another once you are inside. So, we recommend checking the zone on your ticket before you pick a gate.
| Zone | Grandstands | What you see | Gates |
| Zona Verde (green) | 1, 2 | The final corner, the grid, the start line and the pit lane | 4 and 7 |
| Zona Naranja (orange) | 2A | A short section of the main straight | 8 |
| Zona Azul (blue) | 3A, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 6A, 6B | Turns 1 to 3, the opening chicane | 9 and 12 |
| Zona Amarilla (yellow) | 7, 10, 11, 12 | Turns 4 to 6, the slow corners | 13 and 14 |
| Zona Rosa (pink) | 8, 9 | Part of Turns 4 to 6 | Through Zona Azul (9 or 12) |
| Zona Gris (grey) | 14 | Turns 13 to 15, inside Foro Sol | 1 |
| Zona Café (brown) | 15 | Turns 13 to 15, inside Foro Sol | 1 |
Zona Rosa is the one that catches people out. You enter through Zona Azul, then cross a pedestrian bridge over the track before Turn 4. Zona Amarilla and Zona Rosa ticket holders can also walk into Zona Azul.
Mexico City Corners: Where Each Zone Sits on the Track
Mexico City has three very different sections. The pit straight is long and fast. The first corners and Turns 4 to 6 are slow. Foro Sol is a tight, twisting stretch in front of a packed stadium.
| Turns | What happens there | Zone |
| Turns 16 to 17 and the pit straight | The final corner, the grid and the long run to Turn 1 | Verde, Naranja |
| Turns 1 to 3 | A heavy braking zone into the opening chicane | Azul |
| Turns 4 to 6 | Slow corners and a good overtaking spot, especially at Turn 4 | Amarilla, Rosa |
| Turn 12 | A sharp right that turns the cars into the stadium | Next to Foro Sol |
| Turns 13 to 15 | A slow, twisting stretch through the Foro Sol baseball stadium | Gris, Café |
These groupings are our own reading of the circuit layout. Treat them as a guide to general location rather than an exact boundary. For which stands we rank highest, see our Best Grandstands guide.
Which Gate for Your Mexico City Zone
Mexico City has several gates, and each one opens a single zone or a pair of zones. Gate 1 serves the two Foro Sol zones. Gates 4 and 7 serve Zona Verde, along the north side of the pit straight. Gate 8 serves Zona Naranja. Gates 9 and 12 serve Zona Azul, and Gates 13 and 14 serve Zona Amarilla.
We strongly advise you to check the gate printed on your ticket before you travel. Going to the wrong gate means walking around the outside of the circuit to reach the right one.
Mexico City Accessibility: Terrain and Step-Free Routes
The accessible area sits inside Zona Verde, beside the main grandstand. Because the zones do not connect, you reach it through the Zona Verde gates. Seats in other zones do not give you access to it.
Zona Rosa needs a pedestrian bridge over the track, and the Foro Sol zones sit inside a stadium. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, we recommend you choose a seat in Zona Verde. For booking an accessible space and what you need to bring, see our Mexico City Grand Prix visitor guide.
